BI Technical Specialist

FedScale is seeking a Business Intelligence / Data Warehouse Technical team member to join an existing team providing business intelligence solutions to a government client. The ideal individual will have 5+ years of industry experience. Must be responsible for successful technical delivery of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence projects using an Agile project management methodology.

  • Education & Qualifications Required: · Bachelor’s degree in a related field · 5+ years of relevant experience · Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. · Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting. · Experience developing and troubleshooting BI reports. · Experience administering BI tools including Hyperion, OBIEE, Tableau. · Experience working in a Microsoft SharePoint environment. · Experience with AGILE and writing User Stories · Must be able present diagnostic, troubleshooting steps and conclusions to varied audiences. · Experience data mapping using Informatica PowerCenter · Experience monitoring and maintaining enterprise BI reporting services. · Banking and lending domain experience
  • · Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop new enterprise business intelligence (BI) service offerings, content creation, and value propositions to support and improve Government business processes. · Collaborate with end users to identify needs and opportunities for improved delivery of data supporting agency financial operations and mission. · Provide ongoing development and maintenance of financial data marts and enterprise data warehouse using BI best practices, relational structures, dimensional data, structured query language skills, data warehouse and reporting techniques. · Administer and troubleshoot BI reporting tool installations: Hyperion, OBIEE, Tableau, FOCUS, WebFocus. · Provide end-user support and encourage user adoption. Act as Tier 1 support for end-users of BI tools. Train and support end-user analysts. Direct users to training material and available resources. · Convert business requirements and high-level data collection needs into well-specified analyses, reporting and visualizations. · Define and log work using JIRA. · Participate in recurring team meetings (Agile)

QUALIFICATIONS


Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in IT related field of study.
